Special Education
At the Central Academy of Arts and Technology (CAAT), we believe every child deserves the support they need to learn and thrive. We are proud members of the El Dorado Charter School SELPA, which stands for Special Education Local Plan Area. Being part of this partnership gives our school access to expert resources, training, and services that help us make sure students with special needs receive the right supports in the least restrictive environment. California Education Code 56040 guarantees that every eligible student has a right to a free and appropriate public education, and our SELPA membership helps us deliver on that promise.

Through this partnership, we are able to provide individualized education plans, specialized staff support, and programs that help every student succeed, whether they need extra help, enrichment, or specific services. Families are important partners in this process, and we work closely with parents to make sure each child’s strengths are celebrated and their needs are met.
